The Psalms

Select a Psalm from the list below.

The Psalms are a wonderful collection of poetry and songs of prayer and praise to God. Named for the "Psalter" meaning a string instrument such as a harp, lyre or lute, many Psalms are annotated with the word "Selah" and other musical notations.

There are many authors of the Psalms, the most notable being King David and King Solomon. The Psalms were an important part of temple worship in early Judaism and today hold equal importance to the Christian church.
