What is Christianity?

God loves you. He wants to have a relationship with you now and for all eternity.

Christianity is the practice of living based on a belief that God has made it possible for you to live forever. He made your eternal life possible by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross as full payment for any sins that are separating you from Him.

You become reconciled with God first by acknowledging to yourself and God that you're separated from Him because you fall short of His righteousness. And then by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ who lived a perfect life an then took on the penalty for your imperfect one.

It's that simple.

The following prayer describes Christianity in a nutshell:

Dear God, I acknowledge that I’ve fallen short of what you want me to be. I realize that because I am human, my best efforts can never measure up to your expectations. Please forgive me, God. I want to change my life and get right with you. I want to do your will and turn away from my mistakes. I really need your help. As much as I want to live by your will I know that without your help in this world I’m unable to fulfill your purpose for me despite my best intentions. Please help me to make the right decisions each day and keep me focused on your guidance. I believe that Jesus died for my sins, I accept your gift of salvation and invite Jesus to become my Lord and Savior. Send your Holy Spirit into my life, Lord and empower me to further your will. I ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

By saying this prayer with sincerity you'll not only achieve eternal life with God, you'll begin to see purpose in your present life which will improve tremendously. This is God's promise to you.

If you allow Jesus to live in you through the Holy Spirit, you'll know a peace that passes all understanding and you'll never look back.

If you have said this prayer, you need to find yourself a Christian church and seek out other Christians. Read your Bible to learn what God has in store for you and begin your relationship with Him.
