The book of
Jude is a short letter written by Jude, also called Judas,
the brother of Jesus (not Judas Iscariot), and believed to
have been authored around a.d. 65. The letter appears to be
directed at Christians in general rather than any particular
group or church location.
Keen to write about salvation,
Jude instead is lead to address the problem of certain men
who have infiltrated the believers and would distort the
truth, leading to ungodly lifestyles. Jude reminds the
reader to be on guard and to remember the truth of God's
grace.
